We are looking for a Project Manager, Maintenance and Construction to support the management of our properties and the execution of construction, maintenance, renovation and tenant improvement projects, primarily in the commercial real estate sector.

Reporting to the Director, Construction and Development, you will be responsible for managing projects from planning through final delivery. You will act as a key resource for internal teams, tenants, suppliers and subcontractors, while ensuring that budgets, timelines, quality standards and operational objectives are met.

This role is ideal for an organized, proactive and detail-oriented person who understands buildings, construction sites and the operational realities of real estate.

The challenges we offer

As Project Manager, Maintenance and Construction, you will work closely with the different stakeholders involved in the projects assigned to you, including tenants, subcontractors, suppliers and the management team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, coordinating and managing the different phases of maintenance, repair, renovation, tenant improvement and construction projects
  • Participating in the definition of project needs, timelines, budgets and priorities
  • Monitoring budgets, schedules, contracts, purchase orders and project deliverables
  • Participating in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Coordinating trades on site and ensuring the quality of completed work
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s standards for quality, safety, profitability and performance
  • Identifying risks, proposing solutions and providing rigorous follow-up with all stakeholders
  • Preparing meeting minutes, progress reports and other documents required for effective project management
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of management tools, methods and processes
  • Staying up to date on applicable regulations, including the Building Code
  • Performing any other related tasks connected to property management and project execution

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering, or another relevant combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in construction, renovation or building maintenance project management, ideally in the commercial sector
  • Strong ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent planning, coordination, organization and priority management skills
  • Leadership, autonomy, rigour, sound judgment, composure and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to anticipate issues, explain solutions and support different stakeholders
  • Good understanding of construction sites, real estate operations and the realities of existing buildings
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience managing projects for a general contractor is an asset
  • Membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or the Ordre des architectes du Québec is an asset
